What Sala does with a playlist

  1. The page for Tears of Steel in Sala: year, runtime, genres, the plot, a Play button, and its versions listed, 1080p recommended
    01

Every film once, in the right version.

A provider sends the same film three or four times, each in its own category. Sala shows one film, lists its versions, and recommends the one that fits your language and your TV.

  2. Sala's Movies page scrolled to a collection row and a Recently added row of posters
    02

    Posters, details and collections.

Every title is matched to a film database: the poster, the plot, the cast and a rating instead of a file name. Films that belong together become a row of their own.

  3. Sala's Live page: a country's channels in a few clear categories, each channel once with the number of its versions
    03

Live TV, one row per channel.

Channels are grouped by country into a few clear categories. The copies of a channel fold into one row, and what's on now sits next to the name.

  4. Sala's version picker for a sports channel: UHD and 4K copies first, then HD, RAW, FHD and 50 fps
    04

    Every copy a press away.

When you want to choose, the picker lists the copies with the best picture first and remembers your pick for next time.

  5. Sala's programme guide: channels down the left, programmes across the evening, the current one highlighted
    05

    A guide that works.

What's on now and next, across the evening, with reminders for later. From the guide, one press plays the channel.

Twelve copies, one channel.

Providers carry the same channel in several qualities and tiers, each as its own entry. Sala reads the names, folds the copies into one channel, and keeps every copy a press away.

One app, your screens.

The same Sala on every one of them, with your playlist added once.
